2025 President message
As we begin a new year, I am enthusiastic about the incredible momentum our club has built
this fall. From our coffee meet-ups, where ideas spark and friendships grow, to the diverse
community engagement efforts that demonstrate the strength of amateur radio, HARC is
thriving. It’s inspiring to see our members stepping up—not just to participate, but to lead and
innovate in ways that benefit both our club and our community.
This year, the executive team is committed to supporting your passion for amateur radio.
Whether it’s providing resources for technical projects, enhancing our operating stations, or
fostering connections with other clubs in Nova Scotia and beyond, our focus is on empowering
you. We want to ensure you have what you need to explore, learn, and share the magic of this
hobby.
Looking ahead, our calendar is packed with exciting events: Parks on the Air activations, public
demonstrations, and collaborations with other groups. These activities not only highlight
our technical expertise but also our ability to inspire the next generation of radio amateurs. By
working together, we can amplify the impact of amateur radio and strengthen our role as a vital
part of the community.
Collaboration is key, and we’re reaching out to clubs across Atlantic Canada to explore joint
ventures that build skills, camaraderie, and resilience. From emergency communication drills to
special event stations, the opportunities to learn and grow are endless.
I’m grateful to all of you for your dedication to HARC. Together, let’s make 2025 a year of
connection, innovation, and service. Your ideas and energy are the lifeblood of our club, and I
can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.
