Halifax Auxiliary Telecommunications Service (HATS)

HALIFAX AUXILIARY TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE (HATS)

The first general membership meeting of the Halifax Auxiliary Telecommunications Service (HATS) was held on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017.

The program included a short update on the natural and man-made disasters which have recently occurred in North America with details about those that have impacted Nova Scotia. The presenter was David George, VE1AJP.

Members of the HATS Steering Committee also provided updates on our progress to date and future plans.

Anyone interested in emergency telecommunications was encouraged to become a member. While most of our members are amateur radio operators, you do not need to have a ham radio certification in order to belong to and participate in the Halifax ATS.
